Organising a Draper Roller Cabinet with EVA Insert Trays
Draper's EVA insert trays are one of the tidiest routes to a professional drawer layout: tool sets that arrive already bedded in dense foam, cut to sizes that tile neatly into Draper tool chests and roller cabinets. Here is how the sizing works and how to plan a whole cabinet before you buy a single tray.
A century-old family firm
Draper Tools was founded in 1919 by Bert Draper and his wife Emily, and it is still an independent family business more than a century later - the fourth generation, Tom and Joe Draper, joined in 2007. The company is based in Chandler's Ford, Hampshire, and sells as a wholesaler through stockists rather than direct, which is exactly where Town Tools comes in.
How the tray sizes work
Draper's insert trays follow the drawer: they come in quarter, half, three-quarter and full-drawer widths, so combinations tile across a drawer without wasted strips. A standard tray runs 270mm front to back, and the high-density EVA foam is cut in contrasting colours so an empty recess - a missing tool - is obvious at a glance. Tray heights vary with the tools inside, which matters when your drawers are shallow.
Matching trays to drawers
The catch with any insert system is that drawers differ: a compact tool chest might have drawers only around 205mm deep front to back, while a full-size roller cabinet swallows 410mm. That is the fiddly part we have automated. The warranty position
Draper hand tools carry a lifetime warranty (excluding consumables and fair wear and tear); toolboxes and storage carry 12-month cover, and Draper's BUNKER modular range extends to a 10-year warranty. Claims go through the place of purchase with proof of purchase, and Draper publishes instruction manuals and spare-parts lists online, searchable by the stock number on your product.
