This works perfectly for the Mini. Just remember to fit the plate with the gap facing inwards to ease removal after winding back. If you have multiple cars or change your car frequently then you might be better off buying a set that suits multiple cars. It might work out cheaper in the long run. It looks. Like this unit can take multiple fixings too but haven't proved them up.

Great tool for replacing brake pads on R53 Mini Cooper S. Makes the job a breeze and saves a fortune replacing the pads yourself. It is slightly fiddly although you'll soon get the hang of it.
