Very good product. Really got me out of a jam with winding my callipers back. Initially a bit fiddly but very intuitive. Can Confirm this works on the rear breaks for new Volvos V40s 2012 onwards. The pins fitted perfectly on there smallest setting. Very robust and keeps the size of your tool kit down. Also reasonably priced compared to getting it else wear.

Used this for the rear callipers on my 2015 VW caddy, first vehicle Iโ€™ve owned that requires a rewind tool so nothing to compare it with but did the job at a reasonable price.

Took me two minutes to have it out of the packaging, and successfully winding-back my right-hand brake caliper piston! Had to invert the U shaped plate, to allow it to work with my Toyota Yaris Hybrid - not a problem. Job done!

As it was the first time I have replaced rear disc brakes and pads, the thought that I had to wind back the calliper piston was something that initially filled me with trepidation , however after a few minutes with this tool from Laser I had the technique sorted. I would add that I would recommend fitting the tool immediately after removing the pads to prevent the piston moving all the way out ( and then having to wind it back in again ). You need to support the calliper bracket to prevent pressure on the hydraulic tubes supplying it. The product would benefit from a few more instructions but anyone with a logical mind will be able to use it effectively. at approx ยฃ30 its more expensive than some kits and the adjustable pegs on the contact disc are a little fiddly but it did the job ok, next time ill be a lot quicker too

Used this on an Audi rear calliper which had right handed pistons, it was a bit fiddly to use but you soon get used to it. It's an excellent tool, reasonably well made , reasonable finish and tolerances, hardly H7 fit but hey. Only gripe it could have done with some resistance on the knurled pin adjuster I found that the pin distance changed too easily. Pins are the right length, any longer they would be more susceptible to breakage. Happy with my purchase.

The best one. Fits all cars, most of which just need it to push, but some rear handbrake calipers need to be rotated and pushed simultaneously. This does all. As far as instructions go, itโ€™s not immediately obvious how to make it push and reverse rotate, so just play with it for a bit to understand how the opposing threads work. Otherwise Halfords or Machine Mart sell the same one, Amazon was more convenient for me. Itโ€™s cheap as hell once you factor in how much a mechanic charges for a simple job. :]

I have borrowed caliper rewind tools in the past, I decided to obtain one for myself this time. This made the job easy. The tool is well made. The price seems to vary up and down, so worth keeping an eye on it.

Several options when it comes to brake piston retractors and was not sure which to go for. In the end I went for this as needed real variation in pin separation as there seemed to be a little uncertainty re fitting Volvo v40. Glad I did. It is compact, well built, fitted and worked well. 2 pointers ... important to set the pin spacing right and to bed them properly in the piston. If not the the pins will slip and get rounded and be less effective. Also the tommy bar is strong but if the piston is stuck or stiff (one of mine was) then it is probably best to put a socket on the end rather than bend the bar if having to apply a lot of pressure. Overall ... great! Recommend without hesitation !!
