Planers
A hand plane takes patience; an electric planer takes minutes off a warped edge or an oversized door that won't quite close. This range covers electric planers for smoothing rough-sawn timber, squaring edges and shaving doors down to fit, with cutting widths and depth adjustment suited to everything from fine joinery to rougher site work. Makita and Bosch both offer well-established planer ranges with tungsten carbide blades and dust extraction ports built in, DeWALT adds cordless options for sites without easy power access, and Einhell rounds things out with more affordable corded models for occasional use. Joiners fitting doors and skirting, and DIY users tackling a sticking door or an uneven shelf edge, will both find a planer here matched to the job.
