Adjustable Wrenches
Adjustable wrenches can be adjusted to suit various sizes of nut and bolt heads. Adjustment of the moving jaw is made by rotating the knurled nut either clockwise or anti-clockwise.
Wrenches which have shorter handles but wider jaws are very useful for plumbing applications. Reversible jaw adjustable wrenches are useful in conventional applications, but with the jaw reversed can also act as a serrated jaw pipe wrench.
Some adjustable wrenches are available with ratchet action or jaw locking mechanism.
