Carplan Exhaust Repair Bandage

CarPlan Exhaust Repair BandageA is a tough, impregnated woven bandage which bonds to the exhaust system with the application of heat, creating a long lasting, gas tight repair for large holes and splits. It is quick and easy-to-use with no need to dismantle the exhaust.

The pack contains:

• 1 x Bandage
• 1 x Fixing Wire
• 1 x Flame Shield

Can be used in conjunction with CarPlan Exhaust Repair Paste.

Directions:

1. Ensure surface to be repaired is dry and free from rust, oil and dirt. Sand metal with an abrasive paper or wire brush to provide a good key.
2. Warm the exhaust for a few minutes. On any holes or splits, apply CarPlan Exhaust Repair Paste over the damaged areas.
3. Soak the bandage briefly in warm water to make pliable. Wrap the bandage over the repair area tightly, overlapping the edges by at least 2cm.
4. Apply the fixing wire tightly to secure the bandage. Run the engine gently for 20 minutes or drive carefully whilst the bandage is curing and setting.
